This beautiful, polished, pewter seal pendant was lovingly made for us by Martin, who used to run a local jewellery company. While his company has finished, Martin has agreed to continue to make these very special seals for us!Â
This lovely seal has been handcrafted and cast using recycled tin and copper in the hamlet of Botallack, a village in the heart of the traditional mining area of the far west of Cornwall. The unique and original designs are inspired by the beautiful surroundings and culture of Cornwall and the west country.
To care for your pewter jewellery and maintain its shine, just soak in hot water with a little washing up liquid for a few minutes and then wipe clean with a sponge. Achieve a high shine with a silver cloth.
The pendant comes on an 18" (45cm) silver plated belcher chain and is supplied in a gift box, making it a wonderful gift or treat. The seal's width is approx. 22mm and the height is 35mm. The box is made from "Greenpack", a plant-based bioplastic designed as sustainable, biodegradable, and compostable alternatives to conventional, petroleum-based plastics. These materials are produced using a bio-hybrid resin, which can contain up to 70% plant starch, and are designed to degrade fully in approximately 15 months, leaving no toxic residues.Â
