Our Founder and Director, Sue, doesn’t just love seals, she loves the sea, too!
Inspired by over 30 years enjoying awesome clifftop views of the sea, Sue decided to explore her creative side with one of our our Rangers, Karen. Using poured acrylics, Sue recreated memories of evocative wild SeaScapes in two original pieces – one large one she loved so much she has kept it hanging on her wall and a smaller one she gifted to a friend while in a local café. Sue was genuinely surprised when the owner of the café, who saw the framed artwork on the table, commissioned a large, original canvas painting for his wall!
Never one to do anything by halves, Sue set about creating more large and small canvasses to raise money for the main love of her life - seals! Each piece is a unique moment in time captured on canvas. These paintings take days to dry and in that time they morph and change in unpredictable ways. Each piece is the result of a genuine love of the sea, its inspiring beauty, evocative colours, heartfelt smiles, and serendipity.
