This Kraft Scrapbook is decorated with a smiling 'Smarties on the Beach' seal, made from an old tent and fishing rope found on Cornish beaches.
Made by artist Michelle Costello of Smarties on the Beach, this lovely seal decorates a very practical, spiral-bound scrapbook, which can be used for anything - a journal, sketchbook, photobook or picture diary - your choice!
The book measures approx. 214mm (including spiral spine) by 202mm and is ~15mm thick.
The 50 pages inside measure approx. 202mm high and 202mm wide - but please note that the spine and its holes take up ~9mm of the width of the page, so the useable width is actually approx. 193mm.
Michelle's aim is to collect as many smartie lids and marine debris from the tide lines as she possibly can, using her designs to raise awareness of the growing concern of the impact of plastics and waste in our oceans. As she rightly points out, "each bit of plastic removed from the beach is one bit less to be consumed by our precious marine life"!
All profits made from the sale of these items are used to fund our charity's mission to promote and protect our precious, native wild seals.
